Dr. Suvanish Kumar VS is a molecular biologist specializing in application-based research. His recent research interest focuses on the genetic transformation field. He completed his post-graduation in Biotechnology at Cochin University of Science and Technology and subsequently joined the National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NITC), as a junior research fellow under an ICMR (Government of India) fellowship. Dr. Kumar earned his Doctorate from NITC in 2018.
From 2018 to 2019, Dr. Kumar worked in academia as an Assistant Professor at SAFI Institute of Advanced Studies affiliated with the University of Calicut. In 2019, he transitioned to BMT-SCTIMST, Trivandrum, where he served as Scientist-B on a Department of Biotechnology (Government of India) funded project aimed at developing 3D-printed biological skin. In 2020, he joined a Texas-based firm to contribute to the development of a renal tissue mimetic device. From 2021 to 2024 he served as Research Scientist for Accubits Invent Pvt. Ltd. leading his team in the field of genetic engineering and was part of nanotechnology and bioinformatics research teams as research manager.
With six years of research experience, Dr. Suvanish Kumar has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals, underscoring his significant contributions to the field of molecular biology.
