Prof. Manjula R. Iyer is an experienced Associate Professor and Research Guide in Commerce and Finance at CVV, with a career spanning over 25 years in academia. She currently holds the position of Assistant Dean for Examinations & Evaluations and is the Head of the School of Contemporary Knowledge Systems at CVV.
In addition to her academic role, Prof. Iyer is an appointed member of the Compliant Committee, established under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace [Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal] Act, in the Office of the Chief Labour Commissioner, Ministry of Labour, Government of India. She is also an active member of the Foundation for Restoration of National Values (FRNV), Kerala Chapter, which is an NGO founded by Padma Vibhushan Dr. E. Sreedharan (The Metro man) with the aim of promoting national values and fostering India’s ethical development. With a prolific publication record, Prof. Iyer has authored more than thirty-four research papers in renowned national and international journals. Additionally, she has written over fourteen articles on social and educational topics for leading magazines and newspapers. She actively contributed to academic curriculum development as a member of the Curriculum Revision Committee for the B. Com program at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. She also serves as a member of the evaluation board at NMIMS, Mumbai.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Dr. Iyer possesses a passion for public speaking and has delivered lectures at 70+ venues. Her speaking engagements range from faculty development and student enrichment programs to community development initiatives, career training, and NET/SET exam preparation for students. Furthermore, Dr. Iyer has served as a judge in various national and state-level debate competitions, including the prestigious state-level debate competition ‘Speak for Kerala’ organised by Mathrubhumi daily. She has made guest appearances on popular television talk shows such as ‘Sreekandan Nair Show’ on Flowers International TV Channel, ‘Nammal Tammil,’ and ‘Val Kannadi’ on Asianet TV. In her personal life, Dr. Iyer nurtures a deep passion for Carnatic music and regularly presents amateur concerts for her family and community. She is also skilled in organizing educational tours and has facilitated study trips for students to more than 20 states in India, as well as visiting over 10 countries.
