The School of Philosophy, Psychology and Scientific Heritage (PPSH) aims to blend contemporary psychological knowledge with the psychological wisdom embedded in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS).

The programmes offered by PPSH are in high demand and are central to the goals of the University. The curriculum for each programme is designed to equip students with critical analytical thinking capacity to succeed in the present competitive world. Students study courses under different categories like Core courses, Discipline Specific Electives, Generic Elective, Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses, Skill Enhancement Courses. This provides students with both breadth and depth in various areas. The School also trains students to develop skills and values which are helpful for them to manage their life effectively and make progress in their career.

Our Programmes
1. B.Sc. (Hons.) in Applied Psychology:
The B.Sc. Applied Psychology (Honours) programme has been developed to prepare students to meet the increasing demand for psychological understanding and application in diverse fields of service in India and abroad. It also aims at developing in students a deeper understanding of the growing discipline of psychology with an Indian perspective, and promoting professional skill-based education. All the courses of the programme are developed by experts incorporating graduate attributes listed by the American Psychological Association (2013) and UGC Psychology model curriculum recommendations (2016) to improve the job-readiness of the students.
2. M.Sc. Applied Psychology
This is a two-year, full-time programme with a blend of theory courses, laboratory and field-based practicum, internship and research. These courses lay a strong foundation for both higher studies or work opportunities if the student so chooses. The insights from the Indian Knowledge Traditions (IKT) and their modern-day application form a unique aspect of this programme.
3. PhD in Applied Psychology
The Doctoral Programme (PhD) trains students for careers in teaching and scholarly research. Students can pursue research in core areas such as Clinical Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning, Learning Disability, Sleep and Resilience, Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Marketing Psychology, Advertisement Psychology, Indian Psychology, Transpersonal psychology, Eco-Psychology, Cultural Psychology, Social Psychology, Health Psychology, Counselling Psychology, etc.
