The School of Contemporary Knowledge Systems (CKS) offers B.Com. (Hons.), B.B.A.(Hons.) M.Com. (Finance and Wealth Management) and Ph.D. programmes. The curriculum for each programme is designed to equip students with a critical analytical thinking capacity to succeed in the present competitive world. Students study courses under different categories like Core Courses, Discipline Specific Electives, Generic Electives, Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses, Skill Enhancement Courses. This provides students with both breadth and depth in various areas.
Programmes Offered by the School:
1. B.Com. (Hons.)
The B.Com. (Hons.) programme prepares students to take up professional roles such as Financial Analyst, Accounts Officer, Investment Banker, Tax Practitioner, Auditor, Entrepreneur, etc. CVV is in collaboration with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK, in order to offer a professional world-class curriculum for the students. One of the unique features of the programme is that all the ACCA papers have been aligned with the curriculum of the B.Com. programme at CVV. A student pursuing a B.Com. (Hons.) programme at CVV can avail a 9-paper exemption (the highest possible) from the ACCA examination.
2. BBA (Hons.)
The BBA programme is designed to produce quality managers and entrepreneurs for careers in public, private, non-profit, and other sectors of the economy. The course will provide you with knowledge and training in various managerial and entrepreneurship aspects.
The BBA programme is a gateway to a plethora of job opportunities in numerous sectors such as sales, marketing, education, finance, sales, retail management, accounting, business analytics, business development, etc.
3. M.Com. (Finance and Wealth Management)
The M.Com. (Finance and Wealth Management) programme is focused on Finance, Risk and Wealth Management which will mould the students to be a financial doctor. The School imparts financial skills to the students which equips them to manage wealth and its associated risk. This programme is combined with the Chartered Wealth Manager certification provided by the American Academy of Financial Management that is accredited in 175 countries and has great demand across the entire globe.
1.5 million job openings are waiting for wealth managers and the data available in the Economic Times (2022) says that professionals in the area of Banking, Financial Services and Industry (BFSI) are going to grow from 10 to 15% per year. Our programme is designed keeping in mind the BFSI industry standards. The programme equips our students to build a career in this industry. Moreover, this programme helps to build research and teaching skills in the students which is the prime objective of our University. This programme is blended with Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) to help build curiosity to do research in the area of Contemporary Knowledge Systems (CKS) combined with ancient wisdom.
4. PhD
The Doctoral Programme (PhD) trains students for careers in teaching and scholarly research. Students can pursue research in core areas such as Banking, Finance, Accounting, Leadership, and Management. In addition, the School also facilitates research in interdisciplinary areas such as relevance of Indian scriptures in modern-day management areas.
