Description:

PG Diploma in Advaita Vedanta offered by Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth (CVV) in collaboration with Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF), is a one year full time, residential course for the intensive study of the important Prakarana Granthas of Advaita Vedanta, namely the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads. The medium of teaching is English. The course will begin on Vijayadashami, 15 October 2021. The Mukhya Acharya of the course is Pujya Swami Swaroopananda, Chancellor of Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth and Global Head of Chinmaya Mission. The resident Acharyas are Swami Advayananda and Swami Sharadananda. The venue of the course CVV’s Chinmaya Eswar Gurukul campus at Adi Sankara Nilayam, Ernakulam, Kerala, the maternal birth-home of Sri Adi Sankaracharya.

Learning Outcomes

The main purpose of this one-year residential course is to:

  • Help the seeker in the various spiritual practices for living the life of a ‘sadhaka’, a spiritual seeker
  • Bestow on the seeker the right and holistic vision of life in the path to Self-realisation

Assessment

 

There will be continuous internal assessment in the form of questionnaires, assignments, group discussions and presentations.


Certificate

 

Participants who meet all the requirements of the course will be awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Advaita Vedanta.
