Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) is celebrated every year and coincides with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a man of high integrity who was instrumental in forging a united India, successfully integrating various provinces into the newly independent nation.
In pursuit of the vision of the Government of India to make a New India by the year 2022, which is the 75th anniversary of our independence, Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth, Deemed to be University, observed Vigilance week in the University in an online mode.
The observance of Vigilance Awareness Week commenced with the taking of the integrity pledge. On behalf of the University, the Registrar took the pledge. Each received a certificate from the website www.cvc.gov.in. The students, led by the faculty, took the pledge online. Members of the faculty also took the pledge individually, as directed by the Central Vigilance committee.
The faculty and students discussed the need to raise awareness about PIDPI (Public lnterest Disclosure and Protection of lnformers). Posters were displayed on the notice boards at the Academic blocks, Administrative block and University canteen to reach out to a larger audience.
