In a grand and spiritually charged inauguration, Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Deemed to be University, commenced its new academic year on 04th September 2023 with a series of auspicious ceremonies, symbolising the institution’s dedication to tradition and modernity.
The day began with a Gayatri Havan conducted under the guidance of Swami Sharadananda from the Chinmaya International Foundation. The ceremony took place at the serene Veliyanad Adi Shankara Nilayam, setting the tone for the year ahead. Following the Gayatri Havan, the Vidyarthi Havan was performed, wherein the newly admitted students enthusiastically participated, embracing the complete essence of their educational journey.
After the pious rituals, the official inaugural function commenced, graced by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, renowned entrepreneur Mr. Sreedharan Radhakrishnan Nair. Mr. Nair commended Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth for its commitment to service in an era where education is often commercialised. He expressed his belief that the recently formulated National Education Policy 2022 of the central government would propel the nation’s education sector towards comprehensive progress. Swami Advayananda, President of Chinmaya International Foundation, and Trustee of Chinmaya Visha Vidyapeeth delivered an inspiring felicitation speech.
The occasion also featured a warm welcome to the incumbent students and an expression of acknowledgements. Prof. Ajay Kapoor, the Vice Chancellor of CVV, extended a heartfelt welcome to all attendees, emphasizing the institution’s dedication to holistic education. Prof. T. Ashokan, the Dean of Academics, delivered a gracious vote of thanks appreciating the collective efforts that make the University’s mission possible. Managing Trustee Dr. Apparao Mukkamala shared his vision for the institution and its students and inspired them to keep up the five vows of a student. The Vidyarambha ceremony was followed by lunch and Onam celebrations in the second half of the day.
