School of Kalayoga Participates in Dream Run of Tata Mumbai Marathon

Chinmaya Mission participated in the ‘Dream Run’ of the Tata Mumbai Marathon on 15 January 2023. The Chinmaya team of 100 plus participants, included 14 from Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth – staff, faculty and students from the School of Kalayoga, from the CNBG campus 

The Dream Run of 5.9 km distance was covered holding various placards, and banners, calling out the slogan ‘Ek Mantra Ek Kaaj Soch Kar Chale, Chinmaya Ki Gyaan Ganga Saath Le Chale; We Can, We Must’. The placards highlighted the various activities of CCMT, including education and CVV.

The Dream Run started from Azad Maidan (CST) at around 8.15 and ended at Metro Inox about two hours later. The Chinmaya team had a few corporate partners like Indian Oil, Primetals, etc., who also participated in the Dream Run along with the Chinmaya Mission runners. Funds were also raised for CVV and the School of Kalayoga’s Naada Bindu Festival through this run. Everyone was given a bag of goodies, a t-shirt and a cap at the start of the run and a medal and refreshment hamper at the end of the run.

The CVV team consisted of Ms. Pramodini Rao (Head, School fo Kalayoga), Dr. Swapnil Chaphekar, Mr. Jayateerth Kulkarni and Dr. Atul Kamble (assistant professors, School of Kalayoga) and staff members Ms.Shobha Iyer and Mr. Sachin Khadtare. The student participants were Mehul Prajapati, Manjeet Singh, Tanay Kamat, Nitin Shankar, Ashwin Thomas, Athreya Gangadhar, Sai Pawanaskar and Shreelakshmi Deshpande.

There was great camaraderie in the group and with the single goal of making our presence felt and making the CVV vision known at the marathon.
