Improving the quality of education is the core mantra of any academic institution. Designing and delivering the curriculum as per the industry/community standards is a highly challenging task for any university. Against this backdrop, the IQAC of CVV organises various workshops and seminars for improving the quality of education. In this series NAAC Criteria-I team and IQAC organised “Workshop on Enhancing the Quality of Education by PO (Programme Outcome)-CO (Course Outcome) Mapping as per NAAC Standards” on 5th March 2020, at CVV.
The workshop focused on the process of developing the PO and provided valuable insight into the procedure of mapping CO to PO by creating a PO-CO Mapping as per NAAC requirements. The workshop focused on internal faculty and staff members of CVV and was open to other institutions in Ernakulam. Dr. Umesh Chandrasekhar Professor and In-charge-Accreditations from the PSG Institute of Management (PSG College of Technology), Coimbatore, was the resource person.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Gauri Mahulikar, Dean of CVV. The first session focused on driving the PO from the vision of any institution. The second session focused on the ways of developing PO and the process followed in mapping the CO with PO. Dr. Umesh delivered rich content during the workshop and provided worksheets that the participants could use to develop the PO for their respective institutions and departments.
The workshop ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sreevalsa Kumar, Director of IQAC. Dr. Umesh was felicitated by the Dean and Dr. Kumar. This workshop was arranged and coordinated by the Dr. M. Sathish, Assistant Professor, Contemporary Knowledge System (CKS), of CVV.
