Pada, Vākya and Pramāṇa Śāstra –
National Student Seminar organised by CVV
The School of Vedic Knowledge Systems organised a National Student Seminar in a hybrid mode on ‘Pada, Vākya and Pramāṇa Śāstras’ on Saturday, 21 May 2022. The presentations were conducted in Sanskrit following the vākyārtha style. The objective was to provide a platform to Sanskrit students to showcase their erudition on the topic.
Out of thirty students and scholars who had registered, 19 were selected on the basis of their abstract to present their paper of which 17 presented the selected topic in Sanskrit.
Vidvan Vishnu Namboodiri, Principal, Payyannur Sanskrit College, Kalady, was the adhyakṣa. Dr. Jaykrishna Sharma, Dr. Tulasi Kumar Joshi, Dr. Sampat Kumar L, and Dr. Gopala Desikan (Faculty, CVV) were also present for examining the arguments. Students and research scholars from CVV, National Sanskrit University, Tirupati; Madras Sanskrit College, Chennai; Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek, Nagpur; and the School of Language, Gujarat University, Ahemdabad, participated in the seminar. In addition to the offline audience, there was a sizeable attendance via Zoom.
