Master Class

The School of Kalayoga conducted its annual Master Class programme online from 10 to 12 July 2020. Each stream—Hindustani Vocal, Bansuri and Tabla—had exclusive two-hour sessions each day.

Thirteen students from India and abroad participated in this programme which had them interacting directly with the gurus. Professors Vidushi Manjusha Patil, Pt. Rupak Kulkarni and Pt. Abhijit Banerjee took special care to see that all the students received individual attention and they could actively participate in class. A special question-answer time was also provided for students to get their doubts clarified.

The students, who have all been learning music for a few years, said it was a delight to learn from such eminent artists and that they were looking forward to more such opportunities. Some felt that they also learnt where they stood in the musical progress chart. Some wished the sessions were longer.

They shared positive feedback about the hosting institution—Chinmaya Naada Bindu Gurukula— too, that CNBG has always come up with creative ideas leading to spirituality and that discipline and fun amidst learning has been the trademark of CNBG.
