Manjadi Venalkalari

Chinmaya International Foundation and Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth jointly organised a children’s summer camp titled Manjadi from 26th to 30th April 2023. CVV students of the B.A.B.Ed. English programme participated as resource persons and volunteers. The 5-day camp had 32 children aged 9 to 14 years participating. The objective of the camp was to provide a fun and joyful experience which included mental, physical and intellectual development.

Lekshmi Krishna A. H. (first year B.A.B.Ed English) and Induja M. (B.A. Sanskrit) gave the inaugural address. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Jayakumar, president of the Edakkattuvayal Panchayat. Mr. Ashish, a member of Edakkattuvayal Panchayat, Professor Gauri Maholkar, Academic Director of Chinmaya International Foundation, Ms. Dr. T. N. Prabhavathi (Assistant Professor of Carnatic Music, CVV), and Mrs. Harsha M. Pillai (Assistant Professor of Malayalam, CVV), spoke at the opening ceremony of the camp.

Some of the activities conducted at the camp are:

Day 1: Ariyam Parayam, Kanakkile Kalikal: Group games based on Mathematics.
Day 2: Yoga, Prakriti Parichayam, Environmental Walk, Nadansheelukal
Day 3: Yoga, Arivinte Nurungukal, Nadan Kalikal
Day 4: Yoga, Paatu Petti, Mandela Art
Day 5: Yoga, Cheythu Padikkal, Cultural program

The camp was very exciting and a learning experience for both, the participants and the CVV students who conducted the sessions.
