Kranti – Arts Fest 2022

The last week of May at CVV was a bonanza of creativity, colours, music and more! The students participated wholeheartedly, letting thier creativity lose. Being on campus after two years of online events, the students needed an opportunity to showcase thier talents. Kranti 2022, an art fest organised by the Bharata Society, provided that much-needed platform.

Kranti 2022 was a student run event led by Dr. P. N. Prabhavathy (Assistant Professor, School of Kalayoga) who was the staff coordinator. There were five on-stage and 17 off-stage events. The on-stage events included, classical solo dance, mono act, mimicry, western dance and fashion show. The off-stage events included, pencil drawing, painting, cartoon drawing, art from waste, rangoli, photography, debate, light music, instrumental music – tabla, mridangam, guitar and idakka; folk song, extempore talks in English and Malayalam and mehandi designing. The events were conducted as inter-group competitions. The off-stage events were held from 24 to 26 May 2022 at different venues in the campus. The fest was inaugurated by Prof. R. Sreevalsa Kumar (Dean-Academic) in a small ceremony held at the Chidvilas auditorium on 27 May 2022. This was followed by the onstage events. The entire event was compered by Nivedita Iyer and Vaishnavi Nair (both first year, BSc Applied Psychology students).

The fest provided the students with an opportunity to interact, form bonds and make memories that they will cherish for a lifetime. The group leaders got to channelize their leadership skills and guide their team members in this fest.
