Kishinchand Chellaram Foundation and Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth launch new scholarships

We are delighted to announce that Kishinchand Chellaram Foundation will be supporting three aspiring students at Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth(CVV), also known as the Sham Chellaram Scholars, with scholarships in the following thematic areas:                     
Transforming Lives Program, Empower Girls Program and Children of Fallen Heroes Program.

The “SHAM CHELLARAM SCHOLARSHIPS” are designed to kindle students’ infinite potential and include an undergraduate degree, post graduate degree, mentorship, an optional internship and plenty of opportunities for immersion, growth and fun!

We are very grateful for the chance to work with Kishinchand Chellaram Foundation and look forward to continuing the partnership!

The Scholarship Committee at CVV will identify scholarship candidates who qualify for the Kishinchand Chellaram Scholarship. For the academic year 2021-22, the Scholarship Committee at CVV has awarded the following three students the Sham Chellaram Scholarship:

  • Anusha Kambal, from Andhra Pradesh, has enrolled in the BA BEd (English) programme.

    Anusha says: “My mother is a daily wage earner and is the sole supporter of the family. Though I come from a poor home, early in my life I was blessed to receive a secure shelter with care and nurturing, good education and a value enriched upbringing at Chinmaya Vijaya. I aspire to Embark on a career in Education and fulfil my dream to empower others.”

  • Satishkumar V., from Tamil Nadu is enrolled in the BSc BEd (Mathematics) programme. Satishkumar says, “My father is a farmer, and my mother is a school teacher. They have been my inspiration to develop as a strong individual and pursue a career in the field of education”. 
 

  • Aswanth P.K., from Kerala, is enrolled in the Integrated BSc BEd (Mathematics) programme. He says:  “My father is a daily wage earner while my mother is a homemaker. They have supported me in my education thus far. Besides studies I love playing football and joined NSS in higher secondary school. I enjoyed learning Mathematics in school, and this prompted me to pursue this programme. I would like to pursue a career in education and do my post-graduation”.
 

The Management and Faculty of CVV thank the Kishinchand Chellaram Foundation and look forward to nurturing these three young Sham Chellaram Scholars.
