Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth witnessed a vibrant celebration today, on February 21st, in honor of International Mother Language Day. The event, held at the LVP onakkoor facility, showcased the rich linguistic diversity among students.
Under the theme of celebrating linguistic heritage, students from various language backgrounds took center stage, presenting poems, stories, and puzzles in their respective mother tongues. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by a prayer.
Dr. M Sudarshan Chiplunkar, Assistant Professor at the School LLS, delivered a Keynote address highlighting the significance and imperative of preserving and promoting mother tongues. He emphasized the crucial role of education in nurturing linguistic diversity.
Expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers, Dr. Rajnish Kumar Mishra presented the vote of thanks. The event was skilfully conducted by first-year students, Shreya Baiju and Anagha S, (1st Year B.A B.Ed.)
The coordination of the program was led by Dr. Rajnish Kumar Mishra and Ms. Harsha M. Pillai, Assistant Professors at the School of LLS.
