Pranav Thiyagaraj and Akash Nambiar, students of B.Com 2017-20 batch of Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth (CVV), under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Abha Mohan presented ‘Tax Implications of Selected Investment Avenues’. This talk was the second in the Finance Talk Series, an initiative of the School of Contemporary Knowledge Systems (CKS), to unravel financial jargon.
The topic dealt with various investment avenues that have tax benefits. The presentation started with the listing of various deductions that can be availed by a taxpayer. Tax implications of investment avenues like Public Provident Fund, Employee Provident Fund, Fixed Deposit, Equity Linked Savings Scheme, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance and National Savings Certificate were also discussed in detail.
