Session 49 (01 April)
Dr. Shakuntala Gawde, Assistant Professor of Sanskrit at Mumbai University, spoke on the ‘Grand Narrative Structure of the Bhagavata Purana’. Various akhyanas and upakhyanas narrated in a chain aroused the interest of the audience. While preaching philosophy and ethical values, the talk also touched the heart developing devotion in the listeners.
Session 50 (29 April)
This was a milestone in the Open Learning for All series on Indian Knowledge Systems that was started over a year ago, marking the 50th session. Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda (Founder Chancellor of Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth) blessed the event with his brief note on Sri. Rama. This was followed by a talk by Professor Radhavallabh Tripathi, former Vice Chancellor of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Delhi on ‘Valmiki’s Rama’. He emphasized the human qualities of Rama based on the Valmiki Ramayana.
