Hindi was accepted as one of the official languages of India by the Constituent Assembly on14 September 1949. To celebrate this, every year, 14 September is celebrated as Hindi Diwas to promote Hindi and encourage people to use Hindi in their daily life.
CVV’s School of Linguistic and Literary Studies (LLS) celebrated Hindi Diwas from 14th to 30th September 2023 with poetry recitation, elocution (वैश्विक शक्ति भारत), song and essay (विषय: एक पृथ्वी, एक परिवार, एक भविष्य) competitions. Over 100 students registered for these competitions. There was special enthusiasm among the students regarding poetry recitation with more than 30 reciting poetry. The events were held in hybrid mode with participants from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Gujarat, and other states. First, second, and third prizes were awarded in all categories of the competition.
Prof. Gauri Mahulikar, Academic Director of CIF, was the chief guest. In her address, she expressed her views on ‘भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा के प्रसार में हिंदी का महत्त्व’. Dr. L. Sampath Kumar Head of the School of LLS felicitated the chief guest.
The MC for the event was Shivangi (first-year B.A. Sanskrit) and Sreetirth (third-year B.A.B.Ed. English). The prayer was sung by Induja M. A. (third-year B.A. Sanskrit), Ananya Hariharan (third-year B.A.BEd. English), and Aishwarya Khaparde (third-year B.A. Sanskrit). The program was coordinated by Alok Kumar (third-year B.A. Sanskrit) and Dr. Rajnish Kumar Mishra (Assistant Professor, School of LLS).
