The School of Philosophy, Psychology, and Scientific Heritage (PPSH) organised a Fresher’s Day on 14th August 2024 at the Warriam Raod facility to welcome the new students.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. T. Asokan (Dean of Academics, CVV), and Dr. Satheesh Varma (Head, School of PPSH). The atmosphere in the auditorium was spirited as everyone participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the cultural performances. The celebration concluded with refreshments and lively dancing, allowing students to mingle and get to know each other marking a memorable start to their journey at the institution. The event set a positive tone for the academic year ahead, encouraging freshers to embrace their new environment with enthusiasm and confidence.
A significant highlight was the inauguration of the Student Development Cell, which aims to support the personal and academic growth of the students from the School of PPSH. An initiative of the School of PPSH, the Student Development Cell (SDC) is a dedicated student body that serves as a crucial liaison between the student community and the School administration. Operating under the guiding principles of ‘सेवा-अध्ययनं-समृद्धिः (Sevā-Adhyayana-Samṛddhiḥ) Service, Study, and Prosperity’, the SDC is committed to enhancing the academic and social experience of the students. The SDC will play a multifaceted role in the students’ lives by creating and facilitating opportunities for educational enrichment, skill development, and leadership, enabling holistic development. It aims to foster unity and integration among students, promoting a cohesive and inclusive environment. By actively encouraging the involvement of students in initiatives and events, the SDC helps cultivate a vibrant and engaged academic community.
