A Fire Safety Awareness Programme was conducted at CVV on 3rd March 2020. The programme aimed at making the students, staff and faculty of CVV and the staff of CIF, mindful about the causes of fires, the safety measures in place on campus and fire fighting. Shri Hari Kumar from the Department of Fire and Rescue Services conducted the session, along with his team.
The programme was divided into two sessions – indoor and outdoor. During the indoor session the various safeguards, fire safety equipment, evacuation procedures and so on were explained. During the outdoor session a mock drill was conducted and the use of fire extinguishers was demonstrated. Everyone was provided an opportunity to use the different fire fighting equipment installed on the campus.
