The sixth finance talk titled ‘Stock of the day’ was conducted on 17 December 2022 from 9:30 am to 10.30 am, at the Warriam Road Facility. It was organised as a part of the finance talk series – an initiative of the School of Contemporary Knowledge Systems (CKS). The session was handled by Gouri Nandini and Prithviraj Ranjith (third-year BBA students) and Gouri S., Hrishikesh K., Krishna Veni Varma, Revathy R. Nair and Rhishab Nair (third-year BCom students), all students of the course ‘Indian Financial System’. The session was conducted with the aim of unravelling the myths of stock market investment. The discussion included various jargon used in stock market investments, benefits and risks in stock market investments, lessons from successful investors and stock market scams and various myths about the stock market.
