An online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on PO, PSO and CO framework, conducted on 19 January 2021, was the second among the series of FDPs organised by the IQAC under the expert guidance of the Director of IQAC Prof. Sreevalsa Kumar (Head, School of Philosophy, Psychology and Scientific Heritage).
The programme was conceived to enhance the understanding of programme outcomes, programme specific outcomes, and course outcomes, and also to finetune the skills for converting the existing syllabi into learning outcome-oriented ones. The programme started with the opening remarks by Vice Chancellor Prof. Nagaraj Neerchal. Prof. Achuthsanker S. Nair (Professor of Computer Science and Head of the Dept. of Computational Biology and Bio-informatics, University of Kerala) was the resource person. The presentation was based on the manual ‘Transforming an Existing Syllabus to Learning-Outcome-based Curriculum Framework’, which is one of his notable works.
Faculty members from both the campuses, CEG and CNBG participated in this FDP. The presentation on the topic was followed by a question-answer session. Dean Prof. Gauri Mahulikar presented the concluding remarks highlighting the necessity of having a bottom to top approach in framing PO, PSO and CO, as proposed by the resource person. The programme was wound up by a vote of thanks by Asst. Prof. Abha Mohan (School of Contemporary Knowledge Systems) and a Shanti Mantra by Dr. Vishakha Venkat (Assistant Professor, School of Linguistics and Literary Studies).
