To encourage the learning and use of Sanskrit, a variety of events were organised as a part of the Sanskrit month celebrations. One such event was the Essay Writing Competition that was conducted in two categories—the junior category for students up to class 12 and the senior category for graduate, post-graduate and doctorate students. All the participants were given e-certificates of participation while the three best entries were awarded prizes.
Twenty entries were received in the junior category for which the topic was ‘History of Sankaracharya (शङ्कराचार्याणां चरितम्)’. The topic for the senior category was ‘Importance of Health in our Life’. Participants in both categories had students from various states of India.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Nagendra Pavana, Dr. Tulasi Kumar Joshi and Vid. Karthik Sharma, Assistant Professors from the School of Vedic Systems.
