CVVIST Press Meet Regarding Launch of B.Tech. and MBA Programmes

The CVV Institute of Science and Technology (CVV-IST) launched new-generation B.Tech. and MBA programmes with high employment potential from the academic year 2023-24. The Institute obtained approvals from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for launching B.Tech. programmes in Computer Science, Data Sciences, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and MBA programme. Set on a sprawling 70+ acre campus at Onakkoor in Ernakulam, the institute will admit 420 students this academic year.

The pioneering curriculum, which emphasizes Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) alongside the most sought-after professional programs, sets CVV-IST apart from others, according to the management. By integrating ethics, meditation and yoga, students will acquire a holistic educational experience that enhances their career prospects and prepares them for future challenges.

Chinmaya Viswa Vidyapeeth announced CVV-IST in 2019 with an investment of Rs 1000 crore to make holistic changes in Kerala’s higher education sector, Vice Chancellor Prof. Ajay Kapoor said. He added that CVV Institute of Science and Technology is a milestone in the state’s education sector. It is expected to generate over 2,000 direct and 1,000 indirect job opportunities, further bolstering the region’s economy.

With faculty members hailing from leading institutions in India such as IITs, NITs and other esteemed institutions worldwide, CVV-IST brings exceptional academic delivery using cutting-edge teaching methodologies, resources and research facilities. It has entered into strategic partnerships with prominent corporations to provide students with paid internships, ensuring real-world exposure and practical skill development. Meritorious students will be provided the opportunity to do internships with international institutions, expanding their horizons and nurturing a global perspective.

To make education accessible to all, CVV-IST will offer a range of ambitious scholarships of Rs. 4 crores per year to support incoming students in the academic year 2023-24. Of the Rs. 4 crores, the global Chinmaya family across Australia, the USA, Singapore, Hong Kong, Europe and the UK will offer 108 scholarships of Rs. 1 lakh each to commemorate the 108th Swami Chinmayananda Jayanti celebrations. Additionally, Chinmaya Mission Kerala will provide a scholarship of Rs. 50,000 per year for all four years to students who graduate from any Chinmaya Vidyalaya in India.

According to the management, 100 per cent scholarships will be provided to students who secure ranks up to 5000 in Advanced JEE and 66 per cent scholarships for students from 5000 to 10,000 ranks. Moreover, scholarships ranging from 16 per cent to 40 per cent will be provided to students who secure a minimum of 75% marks, irrespective of their entrance rank.
