CVV signed an MOU with IBM on 28th May 2024 marking the launch of a range of co-branded programmes including B.Tech., BCA, BBA, B.Com., and MBA. CVV is the first deemed university in the state to sign an MOU with IBM.
This collaboration is set to introduce innovative programmes in fields such as Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and various other specialisations. The curriculum is designed to meet the evolving needs of global industries such as finance, information technology, education, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, retail, telecommunications, and transportation.
As a part of this partnership, the IBM Software Lab for Emerging Technologies will be established at the CVV campus. Courses will be delivered through a joint effort by IBM-designated subject matter experts and CVV faculty, ensuring a comprehensive and practical learning experience. IBM experts will conduct offline classes on the CVV campus, with course content, assignments, and examinations designed to be hands-on and aligned with industry standards.
This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by bringing IBM’s expertise directly to the CVV campus. IBM experts will mentor, present real-world challenges, and oversee project assignments to help students develop practical skills and gain valuable industry insights.
Students will get to participate in various national and international events, including IBM’s renowned hackathons, allowing them to showcase their talent and foster a competitive spirit. This partnership leverages IBM’s cutting-edge resources and CVV’s dedication to educational excellence, equipping students and faculty with the skills needed to thrive in the rapidly changing technology landscape.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Ajay Kapoor and IBM Country Manager, Mr. Jagadisha Bhat signed the MOU at an event held at the Warriam Road facility of CVV. Shri. R.D. Madhusudhan Rao, IBM Regional Manager, Prof. T. Ashokan, Dean Academics and Registrar In-Charge, and Dr. Anand Hareendran, Principal In-Charge of the CVV Institute of Science and Technology were also present.
This collaboration marks a significant step forward for CVV in enhancing the technical education and career prospects of its students.
