A team of seven faculty members from the CVV Institute of Science and Technology (IST) and Mr. Bhavesh B. (Manager—Process Development and Implementation, CVV) visited Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Tattamangalam, Palakkad, to provide students and faculty at the school with a comprehensive understanding of CVV, specifically CVV-IST and the programmes they offer. The members discussed the details with the principal and the faculty in-charge and ensured their support in future communications.
The faculty team consisted of Dr. Anand H.S., Dr. Anupama Jims, Dr. Resmi N.G., Dr. Asha T. M., Ms. Arya Chandran, Mr. Athul Ravi, and Dr. Raisun Mathew.
The two-day visit on 19th and 20th December 2023 proved to be a valuable opportunity for both the visiting faculty and the students of Chinmaya Vidyalaya to engage in meaningful interactions and knowledge exchange.
Activities and Sessions Conducted: Introduction to the University (.): A dedicated session was conducted by Mr. Bhavesh B. to introduce the University. This provided the students with valuable insights into the ethos, mission, and academic courses offered by CVV.
Subject-specific Sessions: Separate sessions were organised to provide insights on selected topics from various subjects to create interest in the students. The topics covered included:
- Artificial Intelligence: Exploring the nuances and advancements in the field.
- Basics of Scratch and Python Programming: A hands-on session aimed at introducing programming concepts.
- Chemistry Quiz: An engaging quiz to pique interest in the field of science and technology.
- Mathematics: Discussions on mathematical concepts and problem-solving techniques.
- Communicative English: Focusing on enhancing creativity in the age of artificial intelligence and the need for effective communication.
Student Feedback: The overall feedback received from the students was highly satisfactory. The interactive sessions, the diverse subjects covered, and the expertise of the visiting faculty were well-received by the students. They mentioned it during the valedictory session conducted by the school.
