The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour across all facilities of CVV on 15th August 2024. The events were meticulously organised, ensuring the participation of students, faculty, and staff members at Lalita Pratishthanam, Onakkoor; Prajna Pratishthanam, Warriam Road; and Chinmaya Naada Bindu Gurukula campus, Pune.
Lalita Pratishthanam, Onakkoor
The celebration commenced at 9:10 AM with a warm welcome speech delivered by Prof. Yarlagadda Sudheer Babu, Provost. Prof. Ajay Kapoor, Vice Chancellor, hoisted the national flag, symbolising the spirit of freedom and unity. The attendees joined in unison for the National Anthem, resonating with pride and respect for the nation.
Prof. Ajay Kapoor addressed the gathering with an inspiring message on the significance of Independence Day, reflecting on the sacrifices of our forefathers and the responsibilities that lie ahead for the youth of the nation. Special remarks were delivered by Dr. AppaRao Mukkamala, Managing Trustee, CVV, emphasizing the role of education in nation-building.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. T. Asokan, Dean-Academics and Registrar, followed by a vibrant cultural performance by the students. The programme ended with the distribution of sweets.
Prajna Pratishthanam, Warriam Road, Kochi
At the Prajna Pratishthanam facility, the celebration began at 9:10 AM with a welcome address by Mr. Anoop Aravind, HR Manager. H. Capt. (Retd.) Ravindran V., Campus Administrator, accompanied by Mr. Arun Krishnadas, Assistant Registrar-Academics, hoisted the national flag. The National Anthem was sung by all present.
H. Capt. (Retd.) Ravindran V. delivered a thoughtful message reflecting on the nation’s progress and the importance of unity and discipline. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Arun Krishnadas, followed by the distribution of sweets.
Chinmaya Naada Bindu Gurukula Campus, Pune
The Independence Day celebration at the CNBG campus began with a welcome speech by Shri. M. Venkateshan at 9:10 AM. The flag hoisting was led by Br. Param Chaitanya, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by all.
Br. Param Chaitanya addressed the gathering with an insightful message on the significance of Independence Day, emphasizing the values of freedom, culture, and spirituality. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri. M. Venkateshan and the distribution of sweets.
