CVV Now in the KPSC List of Universities

Anyone aspiring for a government job has to apply through the state’s Public Service Commission (PSC) web portal. In the dropdown menu of the universities, one has to select the university that one has studied at.

When Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth (CVV) student Vishnu H. (graduate of the B.B.A. programme) attempted to apply for a government job through the Kerala PSC web portal (https://thulasi.psc.kerala.gov.in), he was unable to complete his application as CVV was not listed in the menu.

In early November when Vishnu approached the CVV administrative office for assistance, Shri Arun Krishnandas, Manager-Academic Administration and Student Affairs, immediately got in touch with the KPSC office and found out the process and paperwork required. He was informed that only a student, and not the university, which can initiate the process of including a university in the KPSC list of universities, and that the process would take two to three weeks. CVV’s Controller of Examinations at CVV, Shri Kumaran Thampi also spoke with the KPSC office to speed up the process.

Shri Krishnandas provided Vishnu with the necessary letters for acquiring an equivalency certificate from Kannur University, the government university in Kannur district. After consistent follow up by both, Vishnu received the equivalency certificate. Armed with this equivalency certificate and certificates from the CVV Registry and the office of the CoE, Vishnu applied for the inclusion of CVV in the KPSC list of universities. On 30 November 2020, their efforts bore fruit as Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth got included in the KPSC list of universities.

Much appreciation to Vishnu for initiating this process and making it easy for other CVV students to apply through the KPSC portal in the future.
