CVV Family Together Watch Chandrayaan-3 Making History

ISRO’s third lunar mission Chandrayaan-3 made a historic soft landing on the Moon on Wednesday, 23rd August 2023. This made India only the fourth nation to land a rover on the lunar surface and also the first country to land a rover near the Moon’s South Pole.

The Pragyan rover ramped down from the Vikram lander and is moving on the Moon’s surface, where it will conduct scientific experiments for 14 days. Students, faculty and staff of Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV) Deemed to be University, got together at Chinmaya Eshwar Gurukula campus, Veliyanad, to watch the historical moment through a screening of ISRO’s live telecast on the large screen. Everyone prayed fervently and were on the edge of their seats as they eagerly watched the lander inching closer. The gathering broke into applause as the lander made a successful soft landing.

Swami Sharadananda, Brahmachari Mukunda Chaithanya, Chinmaya International Foundations Head of Operations Shri. Anil Pillai, COO of CVV Shri. Ananthanarayana Iyer, Dean—Life-long Learning & Wellness Dr. Sunitha Grandhee were also present. The session ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
