CVV Faculty at International Conference on Teaching Psychology—Asia Plat Conference-2024

Dr. Satheesh Varma M, Head, School of Philosophy, Psychology and Scientific Heritage (PPSH) along with PPSH faculty Ms. Nouzia Noordeen, Ms. Noorjahan Iqbal and Ms. Aparna attended an international conference ‘Asia Plat Conference-2024—International Perspectives on Psychology Teaching and Learning’ hosted by Christ Deemed to be University, Bengaluru. They presented in detail the implementation of the Chinmaya Vision Program (CVP) in the UG psychology programme curriculum. The presentation was a collective effort of all faculty from the School of PPSH.

The details of CVP were presented through the following sessions:

1) A one-hour conversation presented by Dr. Satheesh and Ms. Nouzia, co-authored by Dr. Archana Chandran and Ms. Anjana K. B. on the topic  ‘Designing and Developing Psychology Undergraduate Curricula Rooted in Indian Cultural Heritage’

2) Paper presentation on ‘Fostering Indian Culture and Patriotism Through Innovative Teaching Methods’ by Ms. Noorjahan. The paper was co-authored by Ms. Nisha M. S., Ms. Noorjahan and Dr. Susan Varghese. 

3)  Paper presentation on ‘Nurturing Minds: Prioritising Students’ Mental Health and Wellbeing’ by Ms. Aparna. The paper was co-authored by Dr. Gayatri Devi and Ms. Gopika Ramesh. 

All the presentations were well accepted by the audience.
