Dr. P. N. Prabhavathy, Assistant Professor at Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth’s School of Kalayoga, performed at Peringottukara Dewasthanam as part of the Dakshinamurthy Sangeetotsavam.
Dr. Prabhavathy’s presentation of Alapana in Raga Mohanam with the embellishment of phrases through improvisation, followed by the composition, ‘Samkeerthayeham Sada’, was the highlight of the concert. The combination of swaras that she weaved with mathrai atitam in Misra Chapu talam was also outstanding.
She was accompanied by Shri E. P. Ramesh on the violin, by Shri Ramesh Chandran Chalakudy on the mridangam and by Shri Aluva R. Rajesh on the ghatam.
