Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University commemorated National Science Day 2024 on 28th February 2024 at its facility Lalita Vidya Pratishthanam in Onakkoor. The event featured various engaging activities to foster scientific curiosity and learning among attendees.
A science quiz was organised by faculty members from the Institute of Science and Technology (CVV-IST), allowing participants to test their knowledge and enthusiasm for science. The event’s highlight was the keynote address delivered by Prof. V. P. N. Nampoori, Professor Emeritus at the International School of Photonics, CUSAT. His address offered insightful perspectives on contemporary scientific advancements and their significance in shaping the future.
In addition, esteemed faculty members, including Dean Prof. Girish Kumar, Prof. C. Vijayan, Dr. T. M. Asha, and Dr. Arya Chandran, shared their thoughts and insights during the event, contributing to a rich exchange of ideas and expertise. To further enrich the learning experience, Dr. Ajith Thomas, an Assistant Professor at Muvattupuzha Nirmala College, conducted a demonstration session featuring hands-on experiments covering various aspects of physics. This interactive session likely gave attendees practical insights into scientific principles and phenomena. Students and faculty members were excited to see the demonstration by Dr. Ajith.
Ms. Subha Rakesh conducted a session on Vedic Mathematics offered participants the opportunity to explore the intersections between traditional mathematical techniques and contemporary educational methodologies. It provided a holistic perspective on the diverse dimensions of learning within science and mathematics.
