While #VocalForLocal is the new mantra, CVV and CIF also encourage #GrowYourOwnFood by planting fruits and vegetables on the campus. On 25 July 2020, when the rains took a break, CVV and CIF got together to harvest the local variety of plantains known as ‘Nenthrakai’ from the vegetable garden at the Green Cottage, in the campus of Adi Sankara Nilayam.
Staff and sevaks of CVV and CIF, as well as CVV students actively participated under the leadership of Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati. Also present on the occasion were Vice Chancellor C Prof. Nagaraj Neerchal, Dean Prof. Gauri Mahulikar and Asst. Registrar Dr. Soumya S. It was a fun and fulfilling experience for all.
