Karthik Sharma has been honoured with a citation and shawl for his immense contribution and excellence in Sastraic studies., as per the directions of HH Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji at an event organised by the Aham Brahmaasmi Trust, Sringeri.
Besides a B.A. and M.A. in Advaita Vedanta and an M.Phil., he has undertaken rigorous studies in Advaita-Vedanta under Dr. K. S. Maheswaran Namboothiri (Badarayan Vyas Samman Awardee by the Govt. of India), Nyaya Sastra under Dr. K. E. Devanathan, Former Vice Chancellor, KSU, and advanced Vedanta texts under Mahamahopadhyaya Dr. Mani Dravida Sastrigal, Asst. Prof. In Purvameemamsa, at The Madras Sanskrit College, Chennai.
Shri. Karthik Sharma consistently secured first prizes in all India elocution contests organised by the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan from 2012 to 2017. In recognition of his commendable achievements, he received awards such as the ‘Sri Anantharama Dikshitar Award’, and many others from several muths.
He was honoured with the prestigious ‘Golden Ring’ by His Holiness Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam in 2019 and the ‘Vidyanidhi Puraskara’ by His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam in 2022. The Indic Academy also recognized him as ‘Advaita-Vedāntavidvanmaṇiḥ’ in 2022.
His fervent participation in various Vakyartha Sabhas across India, notably the ‘Mahaganapati Vakyartha Vidwat Sabha’ in Sringeri, epitomizes his dedication to scholarly discourse. He has also been a sought-after resource person offering insights on intricate topics and has presented numerous papers at both national and international seminars.
