‘Aashirvachan’ - An event in honour of
Pt. Rupak Kulkarni's 45 years of musical journey

On 19 April 2022, the students of Pt. Rupak Kulkarni (Professor, School of Kalayoga) organised a grand musical event called ‘Aashirvachan’ on the occasion of his birthday. The programme was in recognition of him completing 45 years of his musical journey and tremendous contribution to Indian Classical music. The grand event was held at the Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai, and was attended by many eminent artists. 

Renowned flautist, Pt. Hariprasad Chowrasia inaugurated the programme. Pt. Rupak Kulkarni performed accompanied by Sri Aditya Kalyanpur on the tabla. Later Sri Niladri Kumar, an eminent sitar player performed along with Satyajit Talwalkar on the tabla.

 In connection with the event, Pt. Rupak Kulkarni Flute Academy Mumbai conducted an Online Tabla solo competition. CVV student Sri Dipin Das (IMA) won the 1st prize among 27 participants. The prizes were distributed in the presence of eminent artists.
