A Grand Vinayaka Chaturthi Celebration at Onakkoor Facility

On Tuesday, 19th September 2023, the Onakkoor facility of Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV) Deemed to be University witnessed a spectacular celebration of Vinayaka Chaturthi, marked by grandeur and devotion. The event, organised with meticulous care, brought together students, staff, and construction site workers in a celebration that will be remembered for years to come.

The celebration commenced with the traditional Ganapathi Homam, held at the Boys Hostel, setting the tone for a day filled with spirituality and enthusiasm. The highlight of the day was the ceremonial procession that saw the majestic murtis of Shri Maha Ganapati and Shri Saraswati Devi being gracefully carried from the Academic Block to the Boys Hostel. The air was filled with vibrant rhythms as the sounds of Panchavadyam reverberated through the campus. Participants from all corners of CVV, including students, staff, and construction site workers, joined in the procession, creating an atmosphere of unity and devotion.

Following the procession, the Vidya Gopala Homam took place in the Boys Hostel, during which 108 coconuts were offered to Lord Ganesha, symbolising the community’s deep reverence and dedication. The students showcased their talents and devotion through various dances and songs dedicated to Lord Ganesha, adding an artistic touch to the festivities. Delicious modakas and sumptuous prasadam was distributed to all after the pooja.

The meticulous execution of all rituals was overseen by the renowned Thirumeni Shri Anil Malliyoor, adding an aura of authenticity and spirituality to the entire celebration.
