7th University Day Celebrated with Fervour

Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University celebrated its seventh University Day with grandeur and enthusiasm at its Pranja Prathishtanam facility at Warriam Road  Kochi, on 16th January 2024. The event marked the vision and establishment of the University, aiming to blend modern education with the rich Indian tradition and values.

Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai, the Director of Chanakya International Institute of Leadership Studies and a renowned author, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address, he stressed the importance of holistic education that nurtures intellectual growth and aligns with Indian heritage. Dr. Pillai highlighted CVV’s significant contributions to the contemporary education landscape. He emphasized the need for educational institutions to go beyond job-oriented learning and focus on holistic development.

Dr. Ajay Kapoor, Vice Chancellor of the University, presided over the function. Prof. T. Ashokan, Registrar in charge presented the university report 2023-24 and honoured the high achievers.

The celebrations included a benedictory speech by Swami Anukoolananda, Resident Director of Chinmaya International Residential School, Coimbatore, who emphasized the importance of instilling spiritual values in education. Dr. AppaRao Mukkamala also spoke on the occasion. Dr. Sudhir Babu Yarlagadda, Principal of Chinmaya Institute of Science and Technology, proposed the vote of thanks.

Dr. N. M. Sundar, Executive Trustee, Dr. Ananthanarayanan, Chief Coordinating Officer; and Dr. K. Girishkumar, Dean of Research, Dr. Suneetha Grandhi, Dean of Lifelong Learning and Wellness, were among the dignitaries present. The event witnessed the active participation of students, faculty, and staff, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
