A 3-Day Faculty Development Workshop on the Chinmaya Vision Program (CVP) was conducted at Chinmaya Gardens, Coimbatore, from 23rd to 25th February 2024. The workshop aimed to introduce and orient the members of the faculty, heads of departments, and senior leadership of Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV) to the practical framework of CVP, facilitating the implementation of the university’s vision into action.
The workshop saw active participation from various segments of CVV: 7 members of the university leadership, including the Vice Chancellor and the Deans, 40 faculty members, representing 65% of the total faculty strength and 9 administrative heads
The workshop was expertly curated and led by distinguished personalities:
- Swami Anukoolananda, the Zonal Director of Central Chinmaya Mission Trust – Education Cell (CCMT-EC)
- Smt. Shanti Krishnamurthy, Director CCMT-EC
- Smt. Meena Sriram, Academic Director CCMT-EC
- Smt. Rajeshwari G, Principal, Chinmaya International Residential School, along with other Acharyas, including Swamini Vimalananda and Swamini Sampratishthananda.
The workshop comprised 24 sessions revolving around key themes essential for understanding and implementing CVP:

- CVV – Imbibing the Vision & Mission
- 4 Pillars (7 components) of CVP
- Visit to Chinmaya International Residential School (CIRS)
- Perspectives of Teaching & Learning
- Bloom’s Taxonomy & Multiple Intelligence
- CVP enabled Lesson Plan preparation and presentation by faculty members.
The workshop provided a transformative experience for the participants. The serene environment of Chinmaya Gardens fostered an ideal setting for intense teaching-learning interactions. The visit to Chinmaya International Residential School offered practical insights into the implementation of CVP in an educational institution.
The workshop was effective in equipping the participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to integrate CVP into the educational framework of CVV. It laid a strong foundation for realising the University’s vision and mission, ensuring holistic development and academic excellence.
