Vanisree Ramanathan is involved in teaching, research and advocacy experience in interdisciplinary areas of sociology, political science, leadership programs, Demography and Law for over 14 years. She was a regular faculty member at the Symbiosis Law School and MIT School of Government in Pune. She was also associated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University and Symbiosis School of Economics as a visiting faculty for the subject of Sociology. Vanisree has also taught courses in Demography, Public Administration and Business Ethics and Law.
Vanisree has published several research articles in international peer-reviewed journals, delivered keynote speeches as well as presented papers in International conferences. She is an expert in using experiential learning methodology as well as participatory development paradigms. Regarding her stint with international institutions, she has served in BONELA, Botswana Network on Ethics, Law and HIV/AIDS in Gaborone, Botswana. As part of MIT SOG leadership program, she travelled across India and Interacted with eminent political, social religious and corporate leaders. She spearheaded the SOG study group and facilitated interaction with European organizations such as commonwealth secretariat, European Parliament, UNESCO, WTO, ICC, ICJ, NATO, and Hague University to mention a few.
