Paloma Chaterji is about to complete her PhD in English. Her thesis is a postcolonial feminist work emphasizing on contemporary women’s literature from Nagaland in Northeast India. She completed Masters in English and cleared the UGC NET (English) before joining as a research scholar at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata. She has been an active participant in cultural activities and received the ‘Microsoft Create to Inspire’ fellowship that campaigned against the accumulation of electronic waste through the medium of the performing arts. She taught English Literature, Communicative English, and Functional English at a university in Kolkata for over three years before joining CVV in Aug 2024. She simultaneously engaged in research and teaching, and has a considerable research experience. She has earned a few grants during her PhD and presented her works in conferences in India and abroad. Her areas of interest include Feminist Studies, Indian Writing in English, Postcolonial Studies, Literature and Environment, and Spatiality Studies.
