Dr. Prasadini Mahapatra is an expert in linear algebra, abstract algebra, wavelet analysis, and harmonic analysis. She has a strong academic background, having earned a PhD in Mathematics with a focus on Wavelet Analysis from NIT Rourkela, where she also completed her MSc. in Mathematics. She holds a BSc. in Mathematics from Sambalpur University as well. With over five years of research experience, Dr. Mahapatra has conducted in-depth analyses and constructed wavelets for the Cantor dyadic group and Vilenkin group, as well as Frames and Riesz bases for these groups.
Dr. Mahapatra has been teaching Mathematics to undergraduate students from various academic and linguistic backgrounds and is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Ernakulam, a role she has held since July 30, 2024. Her previous academic roles include serving as an Assistant Professor, Research Coordinator, and Secretary of the Cultural Committee at the Institute of Advanced Research in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, as well as a lecturer at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, Bhubaneswar, and a Visiting Faculty at S. G. Women’s Government College and Government Autonomous College, Rourkela.
Dr. Mahapatra has actively contributed to the academic community through numerous paper presentations at prestigious national and international conferences. She has participated in various significant workshops and programs, including a three-day international e-workshop on “The Foundations of College Mathematics 2020” at Sovarani Memorial College and Saldiha College, the Annual Foundation School (AFS)-II (2016) at Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana in Pune, and the Indo-German Workshop on “Data Mathematics and Scientific Computing” held on September 8, 2023, at IIT Tirupati. She also took part in a Faculty Development Program at IIT Madras. Additionally, Dr. Mahapatra organized an expert talk on “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning” with Dr. Vipul Mishra on March 2, 2023, and co-convened a seven-day Short-Term Training Program (STTP) from October 9-18 at the Institute of Advanced Research.
Dr. Mahapatra’s dedication to advancing knowledge in her field and her commitment to education make her a valuable asset to the academic community.
