Dr. Ajaykumar K., Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the School of Ethics, Governance, Culture and Social Systems teaches majorly the courses in pure mathematics for the students of B.Sc.B.Ed. Mathematics programme.
He has a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Mysore. He completed a four-year integrated B.Sc.Ed. programme from the Regional Institute of Education (RIE – NCERT), Mysuru and thereafter did his M.Sc. Mathematics from the University of Mysore. He has presented research papers at various international and national conferences and seminars in the area of Mathematics and a few in Mathematics Education. He has experience in teaching both UG and PG Mathematics courses.
He is often a resource person for training programmes and workshops conducted by NCERT for in-service teachers of south India. He was also an active member in curating several mathematics-related e-content videos for RIE (NCERT), Mysuru.
Outside of academics, he is interested in sports and loves to play cricket, Volleyball, table tennis and kabaddi. During his college days, he has represented and captained his college cricket team, Volleyball team and throwball teams, and has won several inter-collegiate tournaments. He has played for Mysore district throwball team for more than 10 times and has represented Karnataka State throwball team at a couple of National level tournaments organised by School Games Federation of India and the Throwball Federation of India. He has also participated at National level Volleyball tournament organized by CBSE for CBSE schools. He is also passionate about movie making and writes for kannada films.
