The International Day of Yoga is celebrated on 21st June every year. As the university is not in operation during that period, the students of Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth have decided to celebrate Yoga from 8h April to 13th April 2019. The Yoga Week will spread over 5 days and sessions will be held in the evenings so that all students and faculty may attend as well as members of CIF. Participants from outside campus are welcome too.

Description: Abhayas of yogasana, pranayama and dhyana according to the principles of Patanjali’s Yogasutra and other classical yogic texts. A 1 hour yoga session to generate physical and mental health awareness and cultivate a spiritual ambiance for one’s personal growth and fulfillment.
Talk by Swami Advayananda on ‘OM’ – A special lecture on Yoga.
Objective:
To spread awareness about yogic practices for healthy and happy living.
To inculcate a healthy regime of yoga into ones daily life.
To promote Indic knowledge through yogic techniques.
To generate awareness about ones body and mental states
To create a spiritual ambiance.
