Effective Use of Technology in Teaching Mathematics

Special Guest Speaker: Sri Mandar Bhanushe, Assistant Professor in Mathematics at Institute of Distance & Open Learning, University of Mumbai

The workshop titled ‘Effective Use of Technology in teaching mathematics’, focuses on GeoGebra and R, tools for teaching Mathematics and Statistics in school, and highlights their uses as well as innovative ways of implementing them in the classroom.

Who Can Participate:

Secondary school CBSE teachers of Maths (grades 7-9). Teachers of other grades may also attend, but the content of the workshops will focus on the expected learning outcomes for these grades.

Costs and Facilities:

  • There is no registration fee to attend the workshop. For the first round of workshops in February, we can only register a maximum of 30 participants, on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  • Lunch, as well as morning and afternoon tea, will be charged extra, at a total cost of Rs.250/- per participant.
  • The campus is fully vegetarian, so we request participants to not bring non-vegetarian food.
  • Participants coming from out of station can avail accommodation on the campus, inclusive of dinner and breakfast. Extra charges will apply.
