The 22nd of December is celebrated as National Mathematics Day in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of the mathematical genius, Srinivasa Ramanujan. Ramanujan (22 December 1887-26 April 1920) is arguably the greatest mathematician India has produced. As a part of the celebrations of the National Mathematics Day 2020, Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth (CVV) in association with Raising A Mathematician (RAM) foundation is organising an online quiz competition titled ‘Sridhara Math Contest’ for mathematics enthusiasts of all ages. The contest is named after an ancient Indian mathematician Sridharacarya (who lived around the 9th & 10th century), who is famous for his treatises Patiganita and Patiganitasara (also called as Trisatika). This contest will be at two stages.
