Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth is hosting the 66th ‘Know India Programme‘ on 7th and 8th of August 2023 at Chinmaya Eswar Gurukula campus, Veliyanad, Ernakulam.
The Know India Programme (KIP) is an initiative by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, designed for the youth belonging to the Indian diaspora living abroad. Youth aged 18-30 are brought to India as part of this program to acquaint them with India and its diverse facets, including our cultural heritage, art, and various aspects of contemporary India. This program is open to youth of Indian origin (excluding non-resident Indians) with a preference for those Indians who went abroad as indentured laborers under an agreement.
Every year, the KIP team selects youth to visit India as our National guests for approximately one month, with full sponsorship by the Central Government. This year, the national guests are visiting Kerala, and our University, as the institutional partner, will be hosting them for a day and a half in coordination with NORKA, the Government of Kerala, to experience the Onam festival.
