International Mother Language Day Celebration

International Mother Language Day is celebrated worldwide on 21st February every year to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and to highlight the importance of mother languages in preserving heritage and fostering understanding among people. The day commemorates the struggles of language activists who sacrificed their lives to protect their mother tongues. It serves as a reminder of the need to promote multilingualism and preserve endangered languages to ensure inclusivity and cultural richness in our global society. Celebrations often include language-related events, cultural performances, and discussions aimed at raising awareness about the significance of mother languages in shaping identities and fostering unity.
