संस्कृतमासः २०२० | Sanskrit Month 2020
Indian Perspective on Health, Time and Managing Lifestyles
An Intensive Workshop/Faculty Development Programme
As part of the संस्कृतमासः २०२० (Sanskrit Month) celebrations, CVV is organising an intensive seven-hour workshop/Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Indian Perspective on Health, Time and Lifestyle Management.
Modern living is characterised by excessive mental stress leading to a variety of mental and physical health issues. A lot of research is being undertaken by alternative medical systems to solve these problems. Ayurveda, an ancient health system has several interesting ideas to address today’s health issues. One of the visionary aims through this course is to arm the participants with the knowledge of Ayurvedic philosophy and the science of life, dietetics and clinical nutrition, and behavioural sciences which form the basis of life management. The course will help the participants develop the ability to identify, critically analyse and appreciate the Ayurvedic philosophy of managing the life of an individual and a society. Participants will also develop the ability to independently initiate and propose improvements concerning aspects of food consumption, culture, social, psychology, environment, and economy.
Learning Outcomes
- To understand the basics of Ayurveda and its significance in terms of preventive measures in routine living.
- To identify the difference between daily and seasonal practices in food and living.
- To demonstrate the ability to plan and manage the nutritional needs of different groups in society and the ability to educate and inform about diet and health.
