Welcome to Chinmaya Vibhooti, a 65-acre campus, the vision centre of Swami Chinmayananda, one of the greatest national icons who blended spirituality with modern education. Nestled in this premise is the Chinmaya Naada Bindu Gurukula (CNBG) campus that is located at the foothills of the stately Sahyadri mountain ranges in the quiet village of Kolwan. CNBG provides a residential Gurukula lifestyle rooted in India’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
Programmes at Naada Bindu Gurukula: The campus offers programmes that are a result of the synergy between Music, Sanskrit and Ancient Indian Knowledge Traditions. The entire pedagogy is anchored in the guru-shishya parampara providing ample opportunities for students to gain in-depth knowledge and experience through meaningful discussions, demonstrations and performances. Allied streams of knowledge are added to provide a variety of gainful avenues for students to complement their skills and increase employability.
The path ahead for a graduate from these courses is as follows:
Develop into a blossomed artist in the chosen art form and contribute to the growth of that art by performing and teaching.
Equip oneself to engage in a variety of professions such as music production, arts journalism, event management, stagecraft, teaching and so on.
Gain in-depth knowledge in the chosen art form, leading to advanced training, to eventually become a torchbearer of that art form.
Life at the campus: Here, set amongst the Sahyadri mountain ranges, the CNBG campus hosts a prominent annual performing arts festival in the country – Naada Bindu Festival. Equipped with the state-of-the-art infrastructure, the campus has spacious classrooms, mini-theatres, a professional dance studio and a huge auditorium. It also provides comfortable, twin-sharing accommodation in separate hostels for boys and girls. The two majestic temples of Hanuman and Pranava Ganesh provide spaces for meditation and performances.
Location: The Pune campus is situated at a distance of around 50 km from Pune Airport and 45 km from Pune Railway station. Shared public vehicles and buses are available for the students to reach the campus. Pune is well connected via the national and state highways to its neighbouring cities.
