Life at CVV
It is not a rich curriculum alone that shapes the students into successful individuals, but the atmosphere as a whole that provides a fertile ground for the students to unfold their inner potential. The two campuses of Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth provide just this.
Chinmaya Eswar Gurukula Campus
Set amidst God’s own country, housed in the sanctity of the maternal birth home of Sri Adi Sankaracharya, the Chinmaya Esar Gurukula (CEG) campus provides a serene and secure atmosphere that students easily adapt to and take as their home.
Sankaram, the academic block where students spend most of their time in airy classrooms is a blend of traditional Kerala architecture coupled with technology to provide modern facilities for students to interact and learn with faculty and co-students. Every classroom at CVV is digitally equipped and has Wi-Fi access. Blessed with greenery and open spaces across the ten-acre campus it is not surprising to see classes and group discussions being held outdoors, and in the quiet spaces of the ancient Illom.
The Chinmaya student community comprises hostelers as well as day-scholars with transport services made available for those travelling from Kochi to the present campus in Veliyanad, Ernakulam.
Location & Accessibility
The campuses have state-of-the-art infrastructure, with spacious classrooms with AV facilities. The CNBG campus has mini-theatres, a professional dance studio and a huge auditorium.
Beyond The Classroom
Students on campus are encouraged to explore and learn through various activities that help them tune in and explore their potential be it on or off the campus.
Chinmaya Vidya Pratishthanam – campus under construction:
On a sprawling 60 acres of land at Onakkoor, 12 kms away from the present campus at Adi Sankara Nilayam, Veliyanad, the future campus is under construction. This new campus will have world-class infrastructure and environmentally friendly features such as a solar-powered farm, biogas and solid waste treatment and the latest cooling techniques. Other highlights include a Kalayoga Centre to support the study of classical Indian music and dance, and a Meditation Centre for students to refresh emotionally and rejuvenate spiritually.
Chinmaya Prajna Prathishthanam
This is commonly referred to as CVV’s city campus as it is located on Warriam Road in Ernakulam.
